The amazing photography studio at Callaway Gable shared their thoughts on this gorgeous Maui destination wedding: A Haiku Mill wedding is one of the best ideas if you are thinking of a Hawaiian destination wedding. The Haiku Mill was once a sugar processing plant in the late 1800’s. Today it is one of Maui’s most unique wedding venues. Located just outside of Paia, the Haiku Mill sits on the northern end of Maui, just on the edge of the rain forest. With super lush jungle surrounding the old world architecture, it is also one of our favorite places to photograph.
This wedding was planned and designed by our friend Brooke Keegan of Brooke Keegan Special Events. Other friends include the always amazing Garnish Craft Cocktails, Spago, DJ Nahchey, Ohana Films and Ceci from New York who made the beautiful invitations. This was a crazy day because of the rain. This is why the Haiku Mill is so amazing – they have built a plexiglass roof over the mill to protect the guests from getting wet. It’s truly a remarkable place for a wedding celebration with friends and family.
